Dance schools collaborate on a new kind of Nutcracker
As artistic director and founder of Ballet Bloch Canada, she has taken a beloved holiday tradition, The Nutcracker, and turned it slightly on its ear.

PERFORMANCES

The Nutcracker

Ballet Bloch Canada presents their 9th annual production of The Nutcracker with score by Tchaikovsky plus a few exciting musical “beats”. A full-story ballet offering a night of magical fun, beloved holiday tradition celebrated through the beauty of dance and music.

Ballet Bloch’s The Nutcracker is filled with surprises! Audiences will meet the delightful Clara and her Nutcracker, be terrified by the infamous Rat Queen, travel through the forest of Snowflakes and be charmed by the Sugarplum Fairy in the Kingdom of Sweets.

Both Matinee and Evening performances provide aspiring dancers with remarkable performance opportunities, showcasing local talent and professional guest artists: Reid Colton and Clara Koehle.

The North Shore production of The Nutcracker celebrates a coming together of dancers throughout the Lower Mainland and demonstrates the support and development of performing arts and culture in Vancouver, Canada.
